Cropped self-portrait, painted in summer 2015.

I’m an artist living in Brooklyn, NY. I earned my MFA in Fine Arts from the Pratt Institute last year, and am currently pursuing an master’s in art history.

My work explores the mystery of appearances. I am interested in how and what a surface can hide and reveal or contain. I’m attracted to haptic, hands-on processes to discover connections between my own imagination and structures in nature.

Alongside my art practice, I’m involved in thinking about, writing about and engaging the public with art. Currently, I’m writing my art history master’s thesis on the definition of emptiness in the ceramic sculpture of Stanley Rosen.
